Mark Brengelman Participates in ASPPB Mid-Year Regulatory Meeting

April 2025 | The Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology has selected Mark to attend the Mid-Year Meeting of the  Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB), taking place April 24–27, 2025, in Montreal, Canada.

This annual meeting brings together board members, administrators, attorneys, and leaders in licensure testing to explore key educational topics related to the regulation of psychology. It’s a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, share best practices, and stay informed on emerging trends that affect public protection and professional standards in the field.

Founded in 1961, ASPPB  is an alliance of state, provincial, and territorial agencies responsible for the licensure and certification of psychologists throughout the United States and Canada. Its membership includes all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, the Northwest Territories, and all ten Canadian provinces.

ASPPB is best known for developing and owning the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP), first administered in 1965. The EPPP is the entry-level exam required for licensure at the independent practice level and is widely regarded as one of the most researched, validated, and defensible professional exams across all health professions.

ASPPB is highly respected in the psychological community for its commitment to excellence in regulation. It provides essential support and resources not only to its member boards, but also to the broader psychological profession.
